A few weeks ago we took a quick trip to Oklahoma City, OK to see Keith Urban and the opening act was Tyler Hubbard. You are now likely wondering what in the world this has to do with style or styling. You see Tyler Hubbard starting singing a song called “Inside and Out” and as I listened to the words I started to cry because it’s what we all want to hear. The lyrics are…“You’re so beautiful, from your head to your toes, in your heart and your soul, I hope you always know you’re so beautiful. Beautiful inside, inside and out, inside, inside and out.” Tyler Hubbard

For years, I have worked with women of all ages and sizes, from 0 to 22 plus, and I have learned that sometimes women need to hear and be reminded of this simple message, “you’re beautiful.”

You are beautiful, no matter your age, shape, or size. Many of the women I work with feel they need to fix, change, lose, or hide some part of their body. My passion is to help women embrace their bodies, all of it, and find clothes that help them feel confident and beautiful.  I encourage and challenge my clients to stop hiding their body in oversized, shapeless or all black clothing and help them find clothes and create a wardrobe they feel confident in no matter the occasion.

When I traveled to North Carolina last month I met a woman who shared that a stylist she previously worked with told her “what her problem areas were and how to best hide them.” Honestly, I was shocked and saddened to hear this and hugged her and told her she was beautiful…inside and out.

  • What if instead of being self conscious of your bare arms you embraced them and showed them off?
  • What if instead of feeling like you need to hide due to a weight gain you found some outfits that accentuate your waist and made you feel amazing.
  • What if instead of feeling dread when you got dressed, because nothing fits, you treated yourself to one outfit that you felt confident in?

While working together I encourage and remind my clients they are beautiful and oftentimes they tell me later I am the voice in their head when they get dressed. So for what it’s worth…“You’re so beautiful, from your head to your toes, in your heart and your soul, I hope you always know you’re so beautiful. Beautiful inside, inside and out, inside, inside and out.” Tyler Hubbard
