Are you a sleeves gal or a no sleeves gal? My whole life my mom has been a sleeves gal. She has always been self conscious about her arms and insists on wearing sweaters or jackets to cover up her arms. In fact, she is close to 80 and she still covers up.

I on the other hand am a no sleeves gal. More often than not I have hot flashes so no sleeves keeps me cool. Depending on the day, I may have issues with my stomach and the muffin top when wearing my jeans or skirt but mostly I have come to be grateful for my body and all that it’s done for me. Also, I am at an age when I usually don’t care what others think. If I like it and love it I am wearing it.

Believe me, I get it. I have a few clients that insist on having top with sleeves when we shop and there are some that don’t care about sleeve length but insist on covering their legs. Some women prefer short cap sleeves and some mid length sleeves.  Over time I have learned that almost everyone has body issues. In fact, clients who are a size 4 or 6 will often have the same body issues as a client who is a size 18 or 20. Learning to love your body can be a long process but finding clothes that you feel good in is a step in the right direction.

Tell me, do you like a cap sleeve, a mid length sleeve or do you prefer long sleeves? Maybe you are a tank top gal or comfortable in a shell? There are so many options you can pick and choose from. It can be overwhelming and sometimes taking someone with you (when shopping) can help.

When shopping remember to look for pieces that you will be comfortable in and love when you put them on. The key to looking good and feeling good is having confidence in the pieces in your closet, sleeves or no sleeves.
