Invest in Yourself, It Will Show
The confidence and gumption to stand up for yourself usually come after you consistently show up for yourself. You have likely heard the phrase, “fake it ‘til you make it,” which may be true for some, but true growth comes from having the courage to ask questions, learn, grow, and get uncomfortable. You have to have the confidence to start in the first place.
Small, intentional shifts can make a big impact. What you wear and how you show up have a ripple effect on so many areas of our lives.
Putting Yourself On the List
Last week, I shared a story about a woman who asked herself, “Why don’t I put something on that I feel good in?”
It’s such a simple question, but one that so many of us overlook. We take care of everyone else, our families, our teams, our clients, and somehow forget to put ourselves on the list.
So let me remind you: you need to put yourself on your own list.
Wear something you love. Buy pieces that fit the body you have now. Do the things that make you feel good and confident. I give you permission.

You Don’t Have to Spend a Lot, You Just Have to Start
A great example of putting yourself on the list was a client in the UK. We worked together on a Curated Closet Session. During the session, I worked with her to show her how to restyle her pieces and help her see her wardrobe in a new way. She shared that after our session, she spent about £20 on vintage jewelry. And then something magical happened: people started commenting on how glamorous and beautiful she looked.
She didn’t lose weight. She didn’t buy a new wardrobe. She simply started showing up for herself, with confidence, intention, and joy.
When you invest in yourself, whether it’s time, learning, or a mindset shift, it shows. You walk taller. You speak differently. You get noticed.
Confidence Has an ROI
After years of working with clients, I know that when you put yourself on the list and invest in yourself, you will walk with new confidence. When that happens, you stand taller, carry yourself differently, and not only will you notice, but others will notice too. Research and my own experience have shown that when you wear something you feel authentic in, you are more likely to speak up, collaborate, and lead, compared to when you wear something that doesn’t feel authentic or give you confidence. Imagine the growth that would come if you spoke up more often? It’s time to take your place at the table instead of waiting to be invited.
Your clothes, your style, and your confidence have an ROI, and it starts with the smallest shift.
So, :
➡ What do you need to let go of?
➡ How do you want to move forward?
